Overland Track - Day One

Entering the Park, thousands dead gumtrees as white as skeletons perform a danse macabre in way of welcoming. Early 19th century, since the British settled here loaded of convicts, no one from the Tasmanian indigenous population survived to the diseases, wars and persecutions.

I love the Australian trees; most of them deserve to be taken in picture.



Gumtrees everywhere… how they are, it is like they have got a soul. I wish to make some growning in France... Anyway, to take picture is always a good reason to have a quick rest!
